They did it! The 2021 senior class was able to walk across the stage at the Calistoga Junior/Senior High School football field on Friday, June 11. After a year unlike any other, it was such a delight that graduation was able to be held in person.

Athletics Return to CJSHS
CJSHS athletics are in full swing. The cross country team just wrapped up their season and got the Wildcats off to a great start. Julia Heth placed 1st in 4 out of her 5 races for the season. The swim team competed in their CMC Championship meet at the end of April, with senior Sabrina Wells dominating the pool. Tennis kicked off their first match against Tomales, and track & field competed in their first meet in Cloverdale.

Honor Roll Students Celebrated
Calistoga Junior/Senior High School first semester honor roll students were celebrated during the first week of February with a drive-thru certificate distribution event. Over 50 students in grades 7-12 were recognized for a 3.05-3.49 GPA, while over 150 were recognized for over a 3.5 GPA!

For the first time, CJSHS participated in the annual Migrant Education Speech and Debate Team Competition. The team was coached by Cecilia Sanchez from Migrant Ed, and Aida Zepeda, junior high English and AVID teacher.

Fall sports in Calistoga have been erupting with talent and excitement as we march forward into the post season. Our volleyball team plays tonight against St. Bernard's in Eureka, boys soccer plays this Saturday in Windsor against the winner of tonight's playoff game, and football rounded out the season 6-4.
