Wildcats Taking Advantage of Local Internships

internInternships provide an extraordinary opportunity for our Wildcat Scholars to gain hands-on experiences in careers that interest them, and once again our community has stepped up to provide these experiences, even through the challenges of the pandemic.

Grace G. and Flor C. learned about running a preschool while interning at Hearts & Hands. Oscar L. learned about supporting younger students academically and socially, both as an AVID tutor and in the ACE after school program. Andrea V., who is interested in pursuing a career in enology, interned at the new Rivers Marie Vineyards on Foothill. CES teachers David Leonard and Tegan Henry provided Selene H. and Maricruz R. with an opportunity to explore careers in elementary education.

For the spring semester, Julie’s Hair & Nail Spa is providing an internship in cosmetology, and the Calistoga Vet Clinic is again supporting students in exploring careers in veterinary medicine. We are so thankful to our community partners for offering these invaluable opportunities to our students!
